IKEJA ELECTRICITY COMPANY COMPENSATES ELECTROCUTED WOMAN’S FAMILY WITH N25 MILLION
Reprieve has come the way of the Odubeke’s as a family member recently revealed to BlackBox Nigeria that the management of Ikeja Electricity Company has paid the family the whooping sum of N25 Million as compensation over the ill fated incident surrounding the sudden demise of Mutiat Odubeke four months ago.

Recall that BlackBox Nigeria had reported that a high tension cable fell on Late Mutiat while power was still on around Solebo Estate, Aga Ikorodu on Dec 9, 2018 who eventually died at the Gbagada General Hospital on Jan 1, 2019.

The high tension cable was later discovered to be that of the Ikeja Electricity Company.
Recall also that members of the family immediately after the incident rejected the initial N200,000 offered by the Electric Company for the necessary burial rites but demanded more from the company in order to take adequate care of the only son left by the deceased giving that she is the breadwinner of the family.
This latest development is also coming as a win for Ikorodu Ambassador, a community group that has always champion the course of advocating for justice in the case.
