Nigerian broadcaster and television host, Ikponmwosa “IK” Osakioduwa, has celebrated his 17th wedding anniversary with his wife, Olohije, sharing a message that blended heartfelt appreciation with his trademark humor.
In a post shared on his official Instagram page, IK reflected on their journey from young lovers to proud parents of teenagers. “We’ve gone from kids hanging and having long phone conversations to being the parents of teenagers. Wow! Time really flies when you’re having fun,” he wrote.
Known for his wit and lighthearted style, the veteran media personality playfully teased his wife, describing her as “still so troublesome,” with a “sharp mouth” and a habit of making him rub her back and hair.
Switching to a more emotional tone, IK expressed gratitude for their shared journey: “Thank you for sticking it out. Thank you for believing WITH me and IN me. Thank you for our amazing children. Thank you for the best 17 years of my life so far.”
Looking ahead, he added a humorous promise, joking that once the money starts flowing, he will show her the difference between “fish egg and caviar” and between “one of them” and “one of one.”
IK and Olohije Osakioduwa tied the knot in Lagos on October 3, 2008, and their marriage has produced two children, Osahar and Micah. Over the years, the couple have earned admiration for their enduring bond and lighthearted approach to family life.
Osakioduwa, one of Nigeria’s most recognizable media personalities, first rose to prominence as a radio host on Rhythm 93.7 FM before gaining continental fame as the host of Big Brother Africa. He has since remained a leading figure in broadcasting and event hosting.
He concluded the post with a touching line: “Happy Anniversary to us. 17 down, a lifetime to go.”
His anniversary tribute has drawn warm reactions from fans, colleagues, and fellow entertainers, many of whom praised his sincerity, humor, and the authenticity of his message.
