Ijede Vice chairman, Motunrayo Gbadebo donates borehole to neighborhood primary school
The Vice Chairman of Ijede Local Council Development Area, Hon. Mrs. Motunrayo Gbadebo Alogba has constructed and donated a water borehole system to Anglican Primary in the LCDA. The handing over of the project held yesterday, Friday, June 28, 2019, in the school premises.

Supported by her Chairman, Alhaji Fatiu Salisu at the handing over event, the youthful Motunrayo Gbadebo disclosed that the project was borne out of compassion. According to her, the Anglican Primary School which is situated opposite to her mother’s office and she discovered they were lacking water which she described as a basic necessity for all.
”The Anglican Primary School is situated right opposite my mother’s office and I see the pupils and staff come all the way to fetch water. To me, this was highly unacceptable so I decided to do something about it because my belief is that water is a basic necessity which should be available to all, ”Motunrayo Gbadebo said at the handover ceremony.
She spoke further, ”this project was embarked upon out of necessity. Seeing those little pupils walking out of the school premises to fetch water broke my heart, therefore, I decided to make it a priority as one of my contributions to the community.”
Motunrayo Gbadebo was supported at the handing over ceremony by her boss and chairman of Ijede LCDA, Comrade Fatiu Salisu as well as her mum, Yeye Fausat Gbadebo. Others in attendance were the leader of Ijede legislative arm, Hon. Shitta, the supervisory councilor for Works, Hon. Mrs. Ajayi, the supervisory councilor for Agriculture, Hon. Fesonmu, the Head Teacher of Anglican Primary School, Mrs. Arobiewe amongst others.
