As part of efforts to mark this year’s Children’s Day, Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA) under the leadership of Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, joined the children in celebratingin line with the theme, “Little Footsteps, Big Future.”
Pupils from various public primary schools in the area participated in the festivities held at the Ijede LCDA Secretariat.
The event featured exciting activities, including a match-past, quiz competitions, and a dance contest.
In a special remark, Hon. Femi Kabir, Vice Chairman of Ijede LCDA, highlighted the importance of nurturing children as future leaders.
He reaffirmed the council’s commitment to safeguarding children’s rights and welfare.
The participating schools showcased their talents, with Egbin Kingdom Primary School, Methodist Primary School, and Igbe-Ogunro Model Primary School emerging as top performers in the parade.
Igbe-Ogunro Model Primary School won first place in the dance competition.
The event concluded with gratitude from Hon. Adijat Hamzat, Supervisor for Education, who thanked the council leadership and participating schools for their support.
