Ijede LCDA chairman, Gbadebo-Alogba hails Senator Abiru for facilitating school project

The Executive Chairman of Ijede Local Council Development Area, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba has praised the Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Senator Tokunbo Abiru for facilitating a school project in Ijede.

The lawmaker had facilitated the construction of one block of two classrooms at Methodist Primary School, Oke-Eletu in the Ijede area of Ikorodu, Lagos. The project was recently completed and set for use.

In a statement on Tuesday, Gbadebo-Alogba thanked Abiru, describing the intervention as “timely”.

“The Senator has demonstrated a rare sense of service and equally invested in the future of the pupils who will benefit from the project,” she said.

“We thank Senator Abiru for supporting the existing efforts to ensure quality education for our children in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.”

The council boss promised that her administration would oversee the maintenance of the classroom and ensure its judicious use by the school, adding that “like Oliver Twist, we will continue to ask for more people-oriented projects in Ijede.”
