The Executive Chairman of Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, has been appointed as the Welfare Officer of the Conference of Local Government and Local Council Development Area Chairmen in Lagos State.
The appointment was officially announced during the recent meeting of the Chairmen’s Conference, where new executive roles were assigned to foster coordination, development, and mutual support among council leaders across the state.
The conference saw the emergence of Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa (chairman, Ibeju-lekki LGA) as the chairman while Prince Usman Akanbi Hamzat (chairman, Ifako-ijaiye LGA) as the secretary.
Hon. Gbadebo-Alogba’s emergence was celebrated by fellow council bosses, who described her as a dynamic, people-centered leader with a strong track record in community development and social welfare.
In her remarks, the Ijede LCDA boss expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in her by her colleagues, pledging to discharge her duties with diligence and fairness.
Her appointment is seen as a recognition of her consistent efforts in youth empowerment, poverty alleviation, and grassroots development since assuming office.
The Lagos State Chairmen Conference plays a vital role in promoting collaboration and sharing best practices among the 57 local government areas and LCDAs in the state.
