The Chairman of the Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Honourable Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, led the distribution of grass-cutting equipment and educational materials to government primary schools in Ijede LCDA on Monday, October 14th, 2024.
The initiative, part of the ‘Back to School Intervention’ program, aims to support parents by providing essential educational resources for their children, ensuring financial constraints do not hinder access to primary education.
Over two thousand pupils benefited from the distribution of exercise books and school uniforms across schools, including Anglican Nursery and Primary School, Anwar-Ul-Islam Primary School, Egbin Kingdom Primary School, Methodist Nursery and Primary School, and Community Nursery and Primary School.
During the presentation at one of the schools, the council chairperson emphasized the importance of primary education in children’s development. She reiterated her administration’s commitment to improving educational infrastructure and maintaining clean and hygienic school environments.
The initiative has garnered praise from community leaders and stakeholders, including Mrs. Onaneye Janet Idowu, Head Teacher of Anglican Nursery and Primary School, who commended the council boss for her efforts to enhance the educational landscape in Ijede LCDA.
