iCare Foodbank Delivers Eid-El-Fitri Palliatives To 1000 Homes In Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Appreciates Volunteers
As part of the ceremony marking the end of Ramadan fasting, more than 1,000 households in Ikorodu Federal Constituency had their food packs delivered to them for the month of May 2020, by iCare Foodbank through the selfless efforts of volunteers tagged ‘iCare Foundation COVID-19 Volunteer Heroes’.
As against the usual practice, the Foundation ”adopted home delivery in line with social distancing protocols established to flatten the curve of COVID-19 in Lagos State, through which over 1,000 families were benefited
“The Foundation is more touched by their sacrifices because the volunteers picked up this onerous task with no personal gratification. We use this medium to pray your households will never lack what to eat as you take food to the needy,” wrote iCare Foundation.
It stated further that the “iCARE Foodbank, an initiative of iCare Foundation of Hon. Babajimi Adekoge Benson, is a nonprofit charitable organization that buys food and grocery products and redistributes the items in a bag called ‘APO AANU or ‘MERCY BAG’ to less privileges.
