Nollywood star Regina Daniels has ignited a storm of controversy after alleging that she must return to her billionaire husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, to protect her family and secure the release of her brother, Samuel “Sammy West” Daniels.
In an emotional outburst on Friday across her social media platforms, the actress claimed her brother’s arrest and an alleged arrest warrant against her mother were orchestrated by the Delta State senator following a domestic fallout.
Through tears, Regina lamented how critics mocked her glamorous lifestyle while she privately endured fear and abuse.
“Nobody flaunts their sadness because of mockery. Were you expecting me to post that I was being beaten? That I was sad?”, she said.
She expressed despair over Sammy West’s detention, alleging political influence and police corruption.
“I give up! If going back, getting injected like a zombie, locked up or worse is the only way to bring my brother back, then I will return. Ned Nwoko is bigger than the whole of Nigeria, that’s what this means.”
Regina also shared a message she said was from her mother, Rita Daniels, reading:
“Ned has issued an arrest warrant against me. I should be arrested on or before Monday.”
The conflict reportedly stems from Sammy confronting the senator over alleged physical abuse against Regina, a claim that resulted in his swift arrest and transfer to Abuja “under unclear circumstances,” she said.
The actress maintained that the pressure is meant to force her back into Senator Nwoko’s home under the guise of rehabilitation.
As of press time, Senator Ned Nwoko has not issued a public statement responding to her allegations but the saga has already sparked national uproar over power, abuse and the dangerous cost of love in high places.
