Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has sparked conversation after revealing her mixed feelings about undergoing a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), saying she admires the procedure but is too scared to go through with it.
The actress made the remarks during a recent appearance on The Morayo Show, where she spoke candidly about body enhancement and personal fears surrounding surgery.
Akindele admitted that while she finds certain forms of cosmetic enhancement appealing, fear particularly her low pain tolerance has held her back.
“I actually like BBL… I want to do it, but I don’t have the mind,” she said.
She clarified that she is not opposed to cosmetic procedures, noting that individuals are free to enhance their appearance as they wish, but urged caution.
“If you want to enhance your beauty, go ahead, but don’t overdo things. Be careful,” she added.
The comments come amid heightened public attention on BBL procedures, especially following reports of complications and fatalities linked to the surgery in recent times.
Akindele’s remarks have since generated reactions online, with many praising her honesty while others weighed in on the risks and growing popularity of cosmetic surgery among celebrities.
The actress, known for her outspoken personality, also stressed that her views are personal and not meant to judge others, reinforcing the importance of informed decisions when it comes to body modification.
