Popular Nigerian songwriter, Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has vowed to walk naked if the presidential election petition tribunal declares the presidential candidate of the Labour party, Peter Obi, as winner of the 2023 general election.
Charly Boy, made this vow on Wednesday, through his Twitter handle, adding that it is a way to celebrate his win.
He stressed that he would go naked from one end of Bourdillon to the other to celebrate the announcement.
He wrote, “When Tribunal announce say Peter Obi don win even before the case reach Supreme Court, wetin you go do dat day?
“For me, I go naked waka from one end of Bodillon to Falomo.”
At 73 years old, Charly Boy is a firm advocate of Peter Obi, the presidential candidate representing the Labour Party in the last election.
In the aftermath of the presidential election, Charly Boy openly expressed his support for Peter Obi and even called for insurrection in Nigeria due to his belief that Obi should have been declared the winner.
In the recently concluded Nigerian presidential election on 25th February 2023, Peter Obi, running under the Labour Party, secured the third position.
However, despite his third-place finish, Peter Obi decided to challenge President Bola Tinubu’s victory in court. He firmly believes that he was the rightful winner of the election.
As the legal proceedings unfolded in court, all parties presented their arguments, and the presidential tribunal is now on the verge of delivering its judgment.
