H&Y Furniture Partners LASTVEB to Boost Nigeria’s Furniture Industry

H&Y Furniture Manufacturers Limited has partnered with the Lagos State Technical and Vocational Education Board (LASTVEB) to empower young talents in modern furniture manufacturing.

The partnership, which was unveiled during a courtesy visit and facility tour of H&Y Furniture Manufacturers’ state-of-the-art semi-automated factory in Ibeshe, Ikorodu, Lagos, aims to provide standardized vocational training that aligns with global best practices.

Speaking during the visit, Mrs. Feyisola Abiru, Managing Director of H&Y Furniture Manufacturers, stressed the need to equip young Nigerians with the skills required to thrive in the furniture manufacturing industry.

“For Nigeria to achieve its full potential, vocational skills training must be prioritized,” Abiru said.

“Through H&Y Woodcraft EPIIC Academy, our training arm, we provide hands-on training that empowers young talents with the expertise needed to succeed in the industry.”

Commending the initiative, Mrs. Azeez, Executive Secretary of LASTVEB, lauded H&Y Furniture Manufacturers’ commitment to national socio-economic development through skill acquisition and capacity-building programs.

“We are ready to collaborate with H&Y Woodcraft Academy through our network of technical colleges to further strengthen Nigeria’s skilled workforce in the furniture industry,” Azeez said.

This partnership represents a major step towards advancing technical education, improving youth employability, and positioning Nigeria’s furniture manufacturing industry for global competitiveness.

With this collaboration, H&Y Furniture Manufacturers and LASTVEB are poised to make a significant impact on the Nigerian economy, providing young people with the skills and expertise needed to succeed in the furniture industry.
