Ongoing plans to host the maiden edition of the Professor Folabi Olumide Annual Lecture Series by the Lagos State University Alumni Association received a major boost earlier today as the invite aimed to solicit the presence of the paramount ruler of the Egba clan in Abeokuta, Ogun State was accepted in grand style by Kabiyesi Oba Michael Adedotun Gbadebo, CFR.

The delegation was led by Mr Teju Sonoiki, the Board of Trustee Chairman who presented the official letter to the paramount ruler at the Aafin Ake of Egba Kingdom.

Kabiyesi Oba Michael Adedotun Gbadebo in his acceptance speech, appreciated the associated for deeming it necessary to honour Prof. Olumide who a son of the Egba land that served the institution meritoriously as the pioneering Vice Chancellor.
The paramount ruler also expressed wholeheartedly his desire to be in attendance and accepted the invitation as presented by the visiting team.

The maiden edition of Professor Folabi Olumide Annual Lecture Series is scheduled to hold on Thursday April 11th 2019 at the Aderemi Makanjuola Lecture Theatre, Lagos State University, Ojo.
Dr. Osagie E Ehanire, the Honourable Minister of State for Health is slated to be the Chairman of the occasion while Prof. Foluso Ebun Afolabi Lesi, the Provost College of Medicine, University of Lagos is scheduled to be the guest speaker.
The event will be hosted by Pro. Olarenwaju Adign Fagbohun, the Vice Chancellor of the Institution alongside the Lagos State University Alumni Association and Major. Gen. Cecil Esekhaigbe (RTD) who is the National President of the association.
