Nigerian songstress, Yemi Alade has explained how she almost lost her life in a car crash during her time in Spain, leaving fans both shocked and relieved.
The incident, which took place on August 17th, was shared by the ‘Johnny’ singer herself on her Instagram account, and the details are nothing short of astonishing.
Alade recounted the spine-chilling episode where her vehicle collided in the midday hours somewhere between Barcelona and Benicassim.
What’s even more incredible is that despite the intensity of the impact, she emerged from the wreckage with nothing more than a seemingly insignificant loss—a single fingernail.
In a post that has since gone viral, Yemi Alade poured out her emotions: “On the 17th of August, we were in a car crash, somewhere between Barcelona and Benicassim in Spain at 12:06(noon).
“Also experienced a minor medical emergency from exhaustion after performing on stage 7 hours after the incident on the same day and somehow, I ended up at the ‘after party’🤯🤭💃(leave me o. my mind needed positive vibrations).”
Despite the crash and the exhausting ordeal, Alade powered through and not only performed on stage but also managed to attend a post-show celebration.
Her resilience and unwavering dedication to her art left fans in awe.
Alade therefore expressed gratitude to God in her post.
She said, “Life is for the living… I didn’t want to put this out, but the devil had other plans, but my Jehovah jiray said NO! THE blood of Jesus spoke for us. I only lost a nail, it all happened suddenly. Nothing is too sudden or complicated for God. His Grace is more than sufficient.”
