More details have emerged as to the cause of the accident that led to the death of popular Igando-Ikotun politician and Chairmanship hopeful, Shakiru Balogun.

BlackBox Nigeria has further learnt that Balogun met with his death while going to the Local council secretariat yesterday afternoon. He was driving in his Toyota 4runner a PSP truck rammed into his car. The PSP it has been revealed lost control and the helpless driver who is reportedly on the run rammed into Balogun’s jeep killing him immediately.
This incident occurred around Okofili Bus-Stop on the LASU-Isheri Road of Lagos.
His death has however thrown the Igando-Ikotun community into mourning with many indigenes and inhabitants paying glowing tributes about the late politician who is a former Chairman of the National Union of Local Government Employees in the LCDA.
