Nigeria is the first team to qualify for the quarter-finals at the ongoing African Women Afrobasket 2017 after edging off Egypt to win their third consecutive match of the competition.


Despite having two games to play in the Group Phase of the Mundial, Nigeria has already qualified for slot in the next round clinching the first slot.

This is following Sunday’s winner against Egypt which ended 106-76 points at the Palais des Sports Salamatou Maiga in the Malian capital of Bamako.

D’Tigress earlier convincinly won against Mozambique and DRC to emerge Group B queens.
Nigeria will now be facing Guinea and Senaga on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively for the remaining group games.
