How Lagos State University First Students Union President Died

According to reports reaching BlackBox Nigeria, the first students Union President of Lagos State University(LASU),  Ojo, Lagos has died.

Comrade Olafemi Yomi Orisa who is said to be the pioneer LASU President died around 4pm of May 1, 2020 after a protracted sickness.

 

Announcing the passing away of Comrade Orisa via Facebook, Mr Olabode Garbadeen, an Alumni of LASU in the service of Lagos State Government wrote,”JUST LOST A FRIEND… AND MY DAY IS SPOILT

 

The first students union president of the Lagos State University, (LASU) Mr. Olafemi Yomi Orisa is dead. He died 4 pm this afternoon after a protracted illness. A historian of note and intellectual par excellence. This indeed is a great loss to anyone who had ever come in contact with this erudite scholar and courageous social commentator. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace!”

 

BlackBox Nigeria gathered Orisa who is an indigene of Ondo state served as LASU leader in 1988 and graduated from the department of History, LASU.
