Inedoye, the wife of Made Kuti, the grandson of Afrobeats legend Fela Kuti, and son of Grammy-nominated singer Femi Kuti, recently shared the heartwarming story of how she and Made found love in the most unexpected of places – their high school days.
The couple tied the knot on November 1, 2023, in a joyous ceremony.
In an exclusive interview with BellaNaija, Inedoye unveiled the remarkable journey that transformed her high school acquaintance with Made into a deep and lasting relationship.
She revealed,
“We met in high school. Funny story. He was my school father, and he was a very good one at that.”
Their paths diverged after high school, and they lost touch for some time.
However, destiny had other plans for them.
Inedoye explained,
“We didn’t talk again until much later, while I was in university.”
The spark that reignited their connection came through the power of social media.
“After he graduated,” Inedoye shared, “we became Facebook friends first. Then, from Facebook friends, he came back to Nigeria in 2018. That’s when we began dating, and here we are, married and happier than ever.”
This heartwarming love story serves as a reminder that sometimes, the most enduring relationships can begin in the most unexpected places, proving that true love knows no bounds.
