A courageous Immigration Officer, Prince Orji Ugochukwu, has made headlines for rejecting a staggering N10 million bribe and an iPhone offered by an alleged ritualist, Ezeani, also known as Ichie Billion, in exchange for his freedom.
According to reports, Officer Ugochukwu apprehended Ezeani at a checkpoint along Seme Road after recognizing him from a viral picture.
Ezeani, allegedly accused of involvement in ritual killings and kidnapping of a 13 year old girl together notorious native doctor Agumba whose house was busted on Monday.
He attempted to bribe the officer with a large sum of money and expensive phones to escape custody.
However, Officer Ugochukwu demonstrated unwavering integrity and refused the bribe, opting to follow due process instead.
His bravery and commitment to upholding the law have been widely commended.
Ezeani’s alleged crimes are said to include the burial of several victims alive in a soakaway in his compound in Ezeagu, Enugu State.
The case is currently under investigation, and Officer Ugochukwu’s actions are seen as a testament to the importance of integrity and accountability in public service.
In a related development, the Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service, KN Nandap, has confirmed the arrest of a wanted suspected kidnapper and ritualist, Obi Levi Obieze, also known as Levi Obu Onyeka.
