Popular media personality, Akintola Ayoola better known as Kamo_State, has publicly celebrated Nollywood icon and politician, Funke Akindele, in an emotional tribute describing her as “an angel in human form.” The heartfelt note, which has since gone viral, highlights the remarkable support Akindele offered him and his wife during their pregnancy journey and beyond.

In the touching post, Kamo_State recounted how Funke Akindele stood by him like a mother, showing love, sacrifice, and unshakable commitment through one of the most important phases of his life.

“She spent nights with me at the hospital, arranged the best doctor in Lagos for my wife, and covered every bill,” he wrote. “Even when I told her late about the pregnancy, she was ready to fly my wife to the U.S. for delivery. That’s the kind of heart she has.”

He also mentioned that they were supposed to travel to Dubai together, but when he informed her that his wife’s due date was near, Funke Akindele insisted he stay by his wife’s side. While in Dubai with her own children, she still called daily to check on his wife, Esther.

“Any day I didn’t pick up, she would fight me and insist on speaking to Esther herself,” Kamo added. “She told her driver and security to be on standby at all hours to take us to the hospital if needed. She even made me pray and included us in her prayer group constantly.”

As the couple prepares for their baby’s christening this Tuesday, Akindele has once again taken charge, sponsoring the entire event from the catering to the bespoke outfits for both Kamo and his wife.

“Her generosity knows no bounds. IYAMI IYAMI, I love you dearly,” he concluded. “I can’t repay you, but I’ll spend my life trying.”

The tribute has sparked conversations across social media, not only about Akindele’s career accomplishments but also her deep sense of humanity and family values.

In the comment section, Kamo’s wife, Esther, expressed her heartfelt gratitude, saying: “Thank you so much my mother-in-law for all you do… You guys, mama makes the best meal ooo! The funny thing is, most times Ayoola is in mama’s house, I’m always there with him, but you won’t see me in videos because of my pregnancy. Thank you for all you do mummy, Iyami Iyawa.”

A fan, I_am_Bossmama, praised Funke Akindele’s selflessness, writing: “Lafunky is truly a remarkable person. Nothing in this world could ever make me stop loving her. Abosede is kind, selfless, and a silent giver and helper—truly one in a million. May God continue to bless her generous heart. As for the new baby, I pray she grows in the way of the Lord, filled with wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Any evil eye watching her shall go blind, in Jesus’ name. You and her mother will never mourn over her. She will be a source of endless joy and pride to the family. Amen.”

Fhyvourherself_themediagirl commented on Akindele’s loyalty and depth of care: “One thing about Aunty Funke is if she likes you, she really likes you. And when she loves you, she loves you deeply. She’ll go above and beyond, no halfway, no holding back. It’s a kind of love and support that’s rare to find. You’ll feel it, you’ll know it, and you’ll never forget it. A true angel in human form.”

Sir_richie_derrick remarked humorously: “Nah Kamo finally cast Aunty FUNKE and he Dey sweet me. The enemies won’t see you both in Jesus name.”

Theprettyfola shared her personal experience, saying: “I’ve experienced the prayer part. Thanks for all you do mama. May your source never run dry ma. Thanks for the prayers, accommodation, foods, words of encouragement, vigils, gifts… and every other thing. May the grace of God never cease from you ma.”

Kamo’s wife, Esther, added again: “Thank you so much Mummy for all your prayers. Ma, God will continue to strengthen you and uphold you Ma.”

Lastly, amiablegloballogistics offered a thoughtful reminder: “Kamo, please, whatever happens—because no human is perfect—please always remember all these things and overlook. Talk about it and resolve amicably. God bless everyone.”
