Nigerian Nollywood actor, Charles Okocha has called for the cancellation of his ring fight with controversial singer, Portable, stressing that it was rigged.
Recall that Portable and Okocha got into a ring fight, tagged celebrity boxing match, on Wednesday, Dec 27, 2023.
The fight, where the latter was defeated, was to settle a monetary dispute between the duo.
However, reacting to Portable’s victory, Okocha called the referee an unqualified one for not disqualifying Portable after he allegedly removed his gloves during the third round.
He said, “the match was rigged,” in a post on his X handle @charles_okocha_.
He wrote; “How can you give up in the 3rd round when we have 4 rounds? How do you take off your gloves in the third round, leading to total disqualification when the fight hasn’t ended?
“You all know this was rigged, with an incompetent referee who knows nothing about boxing rules. Nevertheless, we move on. Rematch is coming soon.”
