Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, Executive Chairman of Ijede Local Council Development Area( LCDA), partnered with Dr. Mrs. Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, the First Lady of Lagos State, to celebrate World Breastfeeding Week with nursing mothers.
The event, hosted at Oke-Eletu Primary Health Centre under the theme ‘Closing the Gap, Breastfeeding Support for All’, aimed to raise awareness about the importance of breastfeeding.
Gbadebo-Alogba underscored the health benefits of breastfeeding for both infants and mothers, emphasizing its role in providing essential nutrition and fostering healthy growth.
Dr. Saheed Tajudeen, Head of Primary Healthcare Centers at the LCDA, highlighted the crucial support available to nursing mothers, particularly first-time mothers, ensuring they receive guidance and assistance throughout their breastfeeding journey.
