Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA) recorded a historic milestone on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, as the Executive Chairman, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, commissioned the newly constructed Yeye Fausat Gbadebo Legislative Chamber and Customary Court Building.
The two-storey ultra-modern facility, equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual systems and administrative offices, was inaugurated by the Lagos State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi. It is named in honour of the late Yeye Fausat Gbadebo, the pioneer chairman of Ijede LCDA.
During the commissioning, Hon. Gbadebo-Alogba described the project as a testament to her administration’s commitment to improved governance and justice delivery.
She also acknowledged the foundational contributions of past leaders and thanked community stakeholders for their support.
“This edifice stands as a symbol of our promise to strengthen governance, promote transparency, and serve our people better,” she stated.
The event attracted notable dignitaries including Justice Kazeem Alogba, HRM Oba Abdulhakeem Adeoriyomi Oyebo, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, and other political, traditional, and community leaders.
The Obateru of Egbin Kingdom, speaking on behalf of the people, praised the project’s quality and prayed for continued development in Ijede LCDA.
The Council Chairman also highlighted achievements across education, infrastructure, environment, transportation, and community development, reaffirming her administration’s dedication to progress.
