Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, Chairman of Ijede LCDA, Urges Cholera Prevention Amid Outbreak in Lagos State

In response to the recent cholera outbreak in Lagos State, the Office of the Executive Chairman, Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, the Executive Chairman, has issued a vital notice urging residents to take proactive measures to prevent the spread of this dangerous waterborne disease.

Led by the Executive Chairman, the LCDA emphasized the importance of maintaining clean and hygienic surroundings.

“We urge every citizen to take personal action to prevent the spread of this life-threatening waterborne disease in our community,” stated Hon. Gbadebo-Alogba.

Cholera primarily spreads through contaminated water or food, posing a significant risk, especially to vulnerable groups such as children.

Residents were advised to promptly seek medical attention at the nearest Primary Healthcare Centers (PHCs) within the LCDA if they observe any symptoms associated with cholera.

“As a government, we prioritize the health and well-being of our residents,” Hon. Gbadebo-Alogba affirmed, urging community-wide cooperation to reduce the risk of cholera spreading further.
