By “Those Headlines Are False”- Chimamanda Adichie Distances Self From Biafra
Award winning Nigerian novelist and writer, Chimamanda Adichie has distanced herself from publications that stated that she was in support of the activities and actualisation of Biafra.
The renowned feminist was reacting to some reports making rounds online that revealed she was a Biafran. She shared a screenshot with one of them and captioned it with ‘False”, saying it was invented by the writers.
“Headline below, and other similar headlines, which appeared on some websites are false.
“They are completely invented; along with some accompanying quotes which have been attributed to me.
“I did not say or write those words.”
