By Head Of NUC Flaunts Son’s Graduation From UK University
The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian University Commission, Professor Abubakar Adamu Rasheed mni MFR FNAL has come under attack on the social media after he posted pictures of his son who just graduated from a university in the United Kingdom.
The proud father, Adamu had taken to the social media to congratulate his son for bagging a degree in the Queen’s land, but he got more than he bargained for. Professor Adamu is the former Vice Chancellor of Bayero University, Kano.
Among those who called him out is Mr Deji Adeyanju, a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party. He accused Prof Adamu of not following the practice of ‘Change’ which preaches “patronise Nigeria”.
This development is coming at a time the Education Rights Campaign called on the Federal Government to increase the budgetary allocation to Education so as to boost the sector.
The Nigerian Universities Commission is the body responsible for the rating of all universities in the country. It is responsible for raising and maintaining of Education standards for the tertiary institutions.
