In a commitment to fostering innovation and empowering the youth across Africa, HabariPay’s Squad proudly announces its inaugural hackathon, “Take on Squad Hackathon 1.0.” Set to take place on January 19th and 20th, 2024, at the state-of-the-art GTCO Training Complex, Tayo’s Plaza, Abeokuta, Ogun State, this social coding event aims to engage young innovators from universities and tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
The Take on Squad Hackathon 1.0 invites participating teams to devise innovative solutions for challenges within their academic communities and society at large. By providing a platform for aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators, the hackathon aims to equip them with transformative technological capabilities, fostering collaborative development and refining coding skills. Participants will have exclusive access to leverage Squad’s cutting-edge APIs for their projects.
This two-day event will be filled with action, featuring intense coding sessions on day one and product demos, panel discussions, and the announcement of winners on day two. The winning team with the most innovative idea will receive N2.5 million, the first runner-up N1.5 million, and the third-placed team N1 million. Furthermore, the top three teams will have the unique opportunity to join the Squad Hackademy, receiving mentorship and access to internships and job opportunities facilitated by Squad.
