People go to the gym house, pay, and register for their membership. Afterward, they resume to the gym every morning for numerous body exercises. Some people, out of desperation, would sign up with personal trainers to help them reach their goals rightly– which is maintaining a particular body structure or fitness. And if this is done consistently, their result will begin to emerge.
So, what exactly am I driving at? For clear understanding, dear readers, kindly read to the end. Now, let’s embark on this ride together.
First off, before a person takes the step or decision to enroll for gym sessions, s/he already knows that the journey would involve pain, yet they’d go ahead. Why? Because they have a goal that must be achieved. People don’t just go to the gym for jokes, there is always a reason, why, drive, goal, or aim. Sequel to the aforementioned, as a human, student, writer, businessman/woman, etc., you don’t just venture into something new without a DRIVE, which is your WHY. Simon Sinek once said: “When the WHY is clear, the HOW becomes easy. Which is the focus of this treatise.
People who go to the gym know that they need to regulate or modify their body structure. Another important point I’d like to mention is that they pay for these sessions, even though they are the ones to experience the pain from the workouts. What is this saying? “To succeed, there’s always a sacrifice(s) to pay.” Likewise, deem it fit to always remind yourself that the journey to success is not always smooth, you need to be focused and intentional to help you navigate through the challenges you may encounter.
In addition to the foregoing point, After the registration for the exercises has commenced at the gym, they have to be consistent and stick to the workout timetable. It may not take place every day, but the plan doesn’t change. Consistency is what drives out the result. Let it also be known that patience lies in consistency. The results may tarry or may not come forth when others are seeing theirs, fear not, that is part of growth. Let intentionality be your armor and perseverance your fuel.
Last but not least, another important point I would like to pinpoint in this treatise is that, in the course of the training, some of the trainees look for someone to be their private tutor or instructor to help achieve their goal. This implies that whatever field you find yourself in or in your area of specialization, you must be open to criticism and also have someone who serves as your mentor. Their guidance and mentorship will enable you to grow rightly. To buttress this point, take this for instance:
Whenever you check your weight, you don’t check the scale yourself, someone has to check the weight scale and tell you what you weigh. This is just how it is when you have a mentor.
As I conclude this topic, Dear phenomenal readers, I implore you to peruse and allow this piece to resonate with your mind. Perhaps there is something you’ve left out in your growth plan, but without much ado, now is the time to find it. And when you get it, make the necessary corrections. This being said, it’s also important to note that, gym exercises are done at the early hours of the day. Explicitly, this means that whatever we dedicate our time to when we have the opportunity will determine what our future holds. Remember to make hay while the sun shines. According to GAB (2024): “You don’t get too right to start, you start to get it right.” So, START NOW; where you are and with what you have!
