Governor’s Aide Murdered In Cold Blood By Unknown Gunmen
Some unknown gunmen on Sunday morning shot dead a principal Special Assistant to Benue State Governor on Knowledge, Economy and Investments, Dr Tavershima Adyorough.
Dr Adyorough was killed when his residence located at BIPC Quarters Nyiman Layout was invaded at about 12:30am on Sunday.
His wife, who was also shot during the invasion. She is currently on admission at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital.
Reacting to the killing, Governor Samuel Ortom described it as condemnable and unacceptable. He immediately directed security agencies in the State to swing into action to arrest the culprits responsible for the datardly act.
He described the late Dr Adyorough as a competent and dependable aide who delivered on assignments with dedication and honesty. He also sympathised with the immediate family of the deceased and people of the State over the loss.
He pledged his readiness to support the security agencies to apprehend the culprits.
