GLITZ, GLAMOUR AS 92’ SET, IPAKODO GRAMMAR SCHOOL REUNITES AFTER 27 YEARS, APPOINTS NEW EXCOS
27 years after, students of 1992 set of the Ipakodo Grammar School gathered under the same roof, this time around they are not dressed in a school uniform or seated in a classroom but to wine and dine looking back to how far they have come.
It was a perfect representation of the young has grown as old folks took out time yesterday, Saturday 21st December 2019 to relish the good old days at the Eroz Place, Borokini Street, Aga, Ikorodu.
The august occasion under the aegis of Ipakodo Grammar School Old Students’ Association had a camaraderie atmosphere as old students are now meeting as captain of industries, professionals of different fields, clergies, lecturers amongst others.
The event to ensure continuity also featured the appointment of new executives which saw Dr. Surajudeen Fatai-Abatan (a.k.a) Baresi president elected as Chairman, Mrs. Funmilayo Oduyoye-Ugbogu as General Secretary, Princess Oluwakemi Ladega-Akeredolu as Director of Treasury, Pastor Samuel Anene as Director of Social, Prince Benson Omotayo as Director of Public Relations, Jerome Okogbe and Waheed Onilere as Directors of Diaspora.
In his remark, the newly appointed chairman, Dr. Surajudeen Fatai-Abatan expressed gratitude to all members of the 92’ set for deeming him and his team fit to anchor the affairs of what he regarded as a ‘big family’.
He further called on his old associates not to leave the responsibility of the association only to the executives but join hands to make it better. He also solicited for their supports.
In his words,
“the responsibility of this great family cannot be left in the hands of the executives alone; we call on all to join us to make this great family greater.
“We also need your support financially, psychologically and otherwise, there is need to work collectively.
Major highlights of the event included dance, taking of pictures, catching up on old memories amongst others.
