A girl has been arrested for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend, who she claimed was abusive in Sapele, Delta State
The incident which happened at about 2am on Friday was sparked following intense beating received by the girl before they went to bed.
“I tied up Chidi because I was trying to avoid another beating, but he woke up just before I was about to tie his hands.
“Another fight broke out and I had to break a bottle and stabbed him in self defence” she said.
The victim was subsequently rushed to the hospital while the suspect was arrested.
