Ghetto Light FC, Sharp Strikers FA Battle For Top Prize As Prince Gas Cup Enters The Final Stage

The curtain closes on the 7th edition of the under-15 Prince Gas Cup this Sunday as Ghetto Light FC of Mushin and Sharp Strikers Of Ikotun Battle for prestigious trophy in what will be a grand ceremony in Igando.

Also, the 12th edition of the Prince GAS Cup has got to it’s climax as ROLAG FC will slug it out with PRENA Sports in the final billed for December 27th at the Palace Playing Ground, Igando.

On getting to the finals, Wilson FC lost 7-8 on penalties to PRENA Sports after regulation time result stood at 1-1.

ROLAG FC got the better off Peace FC whom they thrashed 4-1 in the second semi-final on Monday.

While in the quarter final ROLAG defeated OJ New Star in a 5-goal thriller to book a place.

Four goals were scored in the first half after scores stood at 2-2.

ROLAG then proved to be the better team after it avoided penalty shootout to score the decisive winner in the second half.

OJ New Star would rue ill-luck after they squandered the chance to put scores at 3-3 from the spot but their penalty taker failed to convert it.

In the other last four matches, PRENA Sports as they walloped Surulere Warriors 5-0 while Wilson FC and Peace FC pipped Divine FC 2-1 and Phoenix FC 1-0 respectively.

In the U-15 category, Ghetto Light FA of Mushin became the first team to reach the final after defeated Dynamos FA Ejigbo 4-2 on penalties after their semi-final game ended in a stalemate.

Tournament favorites Sharp Strikers of Ikotun booked their place in the final after they defeated Living Legend 4-2 on penalties after full time scores was 0-0.

Olawale Samson of Wilson FC is top scorer in the Free-Age category with six goals while Mathew Oyekan of Shinning Star of Itele, Olayinka Sanusi of Sharp Strikers FC have also netted six goals each.

Abdullah Camara of Bright Stars leads the goal chart in the U-15 with seven goals.

Meanwhile the Local Organising Committee (LOC) wants to use this platform to specially appreciate it’s official friut drink partner, Mr. Fruts, Elder David Akere, Mr Yomi Omo Ologo (Germany based), Olayiwola Sowemimo (America base), Raheem Ganiu, ROLAG of Bet9ja.
