The newly appointed General Officer Commanding (GOC) 81 Division, Nigerian Army Major General G.A Umelo, Wednesday, paid a courtesy visit to the Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Ahmed Iliyasu.
The visit was in furtherance of the synergy and collaboration between Nigeria Army and the Nigeria Police in ensuring the security and protection of lives and property.
The GOC in retinue of officers was accorded General Salute by men of the Nigeria Police Zone 2 Command Headquarters, Onikan Lagos, after which senior officers in the zone were introduced.
The GOC, during the visit lauded the existing synergy and collaboration between the Forces, while the AIG in his response; reiterated the commitment and readiness of the Zone to partner with the Nigeria Army in combating crime and criminality and ensuring security of life and property.
