Popular Fuji icon, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as KWAM 1, has publicly expressed his disappointment in legendary Fuji musician, Ayinla Kollington, accusing him of being unsupportive during a critical moment in his life.

Speaking during an interview on Agbaletu Radio with on-air personality Bamidele Adeyanju, KWAM 1 revealed that Kollington failed to reach out or offer condolences following the death of his mother on January 18, 2025.

KWAM 1, visibly emotional during the interview, recounted how he had gone above and beyond to support Kollington during the burial of his mother, handling all the funeral expenses and even facilitating the attendance of top dignitaries, including governors.

“I’m very angry with Alhaji Kollington for not reaching out or offering condolences when I lost my mother,” KWAM 1 stated. “I joined hands with him to bury his own mother. I supported him to give her a befitting burial. I brought many dignitaries to the event and I handled all the finances 100%.”

He added that Kollington had no valid reason for his silence, especially as he was present and healthy in Nigeria during the time of his mother’s passing.

“See how he paid me back. What could have happened after everything I did for him? He said he called and I didn’t pick, am I not supposed to be angry?” KWAM 1 questioned.

The recent interview has stirred reactions among fans and industry observers, highlighting the complex dynamics of long-term friendships and professional relationships in the entertainment industry.
