By A resident in the Gbaji/Seme-Border have reacted to a planned commissioning of a power supply project carried out by the Lagos State Government in the area.
The resident took to his Facebook page to state clearly that the supposed project was yet to be completed, hence it should not be commissioned.
He called on other residents in the area to storm out in their numbers to peacefully stop the commissioning and force the State Commissioner of Energy and Power to complete the project before celebrating.
BlackBox Nigeria gathered that the project is an electricity distribution facility that will see to every neighbourhood been powered from the National grid.
It was also gathered that the communities of Gbaji/Seme-Border located in Badagry West Local Government Area have witnessed 16 years of blackout; no power supply.

Call to an urgent situation
It is gathered that the commissioner of energy and power alongside other stakeholders from Lagos state government will be visiting all the communities across Gbaji Semeborder for inspection and endorsement of purportedly completed electricity project.
We therefore urge all the youth to be vigilant and ready to troop out when the clarion call is made tomorrow at their arrival.
They said the electricity project is complete, we said it is not. If you are unable to come out en mass tomorrow and beat their number, then their positions will lead over ours; and it will be reported that gbaji semeborder electricity project is complete and ready for commissioning.
We do not ask for money nor do we request for any favour. What we want is an equitable distribution of quality electricity across our communities. Any thing less than this will never be accepted by us and will be taken as an injustice to all.
Electricity is not a favour but a right
