Garba Pledges To Kill Man Charged For Blasphemy If Released By Court

Mubarak Bala has come under attack after referring to Prophet Muhammad as a terrorist and currently being held in Kano State

A certain Kawu Garba has promised to murder a man who is currently in custody for a blasphemous post against Prophet Muhammad on Facebook.

BlackBox Nigeria gathered that it all started with a social media post by Mubarak Bala where he compared the famous Lagos Pastor, Reverend TB Joshua and Prophet Muhammad then noted that the Nigerian religious leader was better than the latter as he is not a terrorist. The supposed post was written in Hausa language, which has generated backlash from Muslims in Kano.

It was further gathered that the said Bala, who was in Kaduna as at Saturday April 25th, 2020 when he posted on Facebook was arrested and transported to Kano on Monday after a group of lawyers wrote a petition against him requesting that he be charged for blasphemy. As he awaits to be presented in Court where he risk being imprisoned for 2years, Nigerians have started trending a campaign for his release.

Reacting to the #FreeMubarak campaign, Kawu Garba earlier on Wednesday posted on Twitter that if Mubarak eventually gets released by the Court, he will look for him and murder then added that he can be quoted anywhere.

His murder thread reads, “@KawuGarba Gimba kakanda, you’re a fool saying the arrest of Mubarak Bala is uncalled-for. Blaspheme against our Prophet is a capital offense, and if he’s allowed free without penalty we will kill him. Quote to me everywhere!”
