By Abdullahi Ganduje, Governor of Kano State, Tuesday, announced a new Emir for the Rano Emirate Council.
The State government, while making the disclosure via a Tweet, said the governor appointed Kabiru Muhammad Inuwa, the former District Head of Kibiya, Kano, as the new Emir of Rano.
The late Emir Tafida Abubakar Ila, died Saturday in Kano at the age of 74.
Abubakar lla, who passed on after battling with an undisclosed ailment, was said to have been rushed to the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital in a critical condition and was later referred to the Nasarawa Specialist Hospital where he was confirmed dead.
