Popular online personality, Kuye Adekoke, a.k.a Egungun of Lagos, shared on social media how a young boy simply known as Saheed had his life turned around after he recited the Quran off-hand.
Adekoke on the 26th of March shared a video clip on social media with the following caption: “I saw Saheed running 🏃♂️after my car 🚘 yesterday while driving thru Freedom way lekki ✈️ and I was dumbfounded😳 at his body size like this small boy 👦 begging 🥺so I had to call him and ask him few questions and I was shocked 🤔at the fact that he recited a verse in the QURAN – BLESS HIM OH ALLAH 🙏🙏🙏”
In the video clip the boy could be seen reciting the Holy Quran after which he got a N5000 gift from Adekoke.
However, in a follow-up video seven days ago, Adekoke confirmed that the video went viral and many people were moved to helping the young boy.
According to Adekoke, the young boy ran out of home because he got terrified his mum may punish him because he was accused of stealing N200.
“This are Saheed Parent, he has been living with his mom before buh his mom couldn’t keep up cuz things are hard for her so she had to take him to his dads place so during that process he was accused of stealing 200naira and he was scared that they will beat him so he ran away from ilorin to Ibadan then down to Lagos within the process of few months buh Glory be to God out of 15children I saw on the street I picked him and I’m Greatful To God and also to those who Donated and Sponsored Saheed cuz he was Given 2.5Million and We are getting his mum a place to stay, a shop that will generate income for her and also Saheed school will be sponsored also he will be going to the UK 🇬🇧 in few months time.
