How Fraudsters stole N9M from Lagos Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa after hacking into his Facebook account
Three young men have been arrested and dragged before a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos for swindling the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Mudashiru Obasa to the tune of N9.188 million BlackBox Nigeria has learnt.
The three alleged criminals; Frank Nwokobia, 27, Ezeoke Kanayochukwu, 25, and Godwin Essien, 28 were arraigned in court yesterday by the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Panti. According to details obtained by BBN, the accused had in May the his year hacked into the Facebook account of Speaker to obtain information with which they withdrew the sum of 9.188,100.00 million which was saved in his GTBank account.
The accused who were arrested at different locations in Delta state were charged to court for committing the offence as contrary to sections 27(1)(b) and 22(2)(b)(ii) of Cybercrimes Prohibition and Prevention Act, 2015.
They pleaded not guilty and have been remanded in prison pending the time they meet up with bail conditions.
