Former Speaker, Dogara Leaves PDP, Defects Back To APC
The former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Yakubu Dogara has reportedly decamped from the People’s Democratic Party and on his way to the ruling All Progressives Congress.
Dogara’s defection was made public on Friday after the Bauchi State lawmaker was taken to the presidential villa by Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State.
It will be recalled that Dogara, who was elected into the 8th Assembly(2015) on the platform of the APC dumped the party in the build up of 2019 election and moved to the PDP, where he won his reelection back to the National Assembly.
As at the time of filing this report, the lawmaker and Governor Buni are currently in a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari in Aso Rock.
