Barrister Mosediq Adeniji Kazeem, SAN, former Lagos State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, has been elected as the new National President of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria.
His election occurred during the Society’s 11th Triennial Conference in Abeokuta, Ogun State, which also marked its 101st anniversary.
He succeeded Aare (Dr) AbdulRafiu Sanni as the 15th president of the body since its establishment in 1923.
Kazeem, a seasoned legal practitioner and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, pledged to lead with transparency, unity, and a commitment to Islamic values.
He emphasized initiatives such as enhancing educational outreach, reforming Summit University’s management, and launching the AnsarCare Initiative to provide medical aid and vocational training for widows and orphans.
Additionally, he announced plans to establish Ansar-Ud-Deen Heritage Centres and a digital portal for project tracking and member engagement.
In his acceptance speech, Kazeem quoted the Quran (6:162), stating, “My life and service are for Allah, the Lord of all the Worlds,” underscoring his dedication to serving the Society and the broader Muslim community.
The Ansar-Ud-Deen Society, established in 1923, is one of Nigeria’s oldest Islamic organizations, dedicated to promoting Islamic education, moral values, and social development across the country.
