By The stage is set for an all out attack as aggrieved aspirants in Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area form alliance to thwart the campaign efforts of All Progressives Congress anointed candidates in the area.
In a statement signed by Comrade Olushola Tijani, under the caption, “LG ELECTION UPDATE: CHAIRMANSHIP ASPIRANTS IN IKORODU NORTH FORM ALLIANCE, “ he noted that, “eight Chairmanship Aspirants in Ikorodu North LCDA have formed an alliance to work together ahead of the coming Council poll.”
APC Ikorodu North In Disarray As Aspirants Ignore Reconciliation Meeting –
The objective of what is called “The G8 Chairmanship Aspirants” comprising, Hon. Adebola Dosunmu, Hon. Matheaw Adesanya, Hon. Olalekan Murisiku, Hon. Haruna Ishola Balogun, Hon. Wasiu Banwo, Hon. Sesan Odueyingbo, Hon. Seyi Babalola and Hon. Quadri Adeosun, is to ensure that the APC Candidate in Ikorodu North emerge from One of them.
The G8 Chairmanship aspirants are of the opinion that APC Lagos State is yet to announce the party’s candidate for Ikorodu North LCDA and that anybody parading himself particularly in this instance, Hon. Adebisi Banjo as the party’s flagbearer in Ikorodu North is an impostor.
According to the G8, until APC and Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission, LASIEC, release the official candidates list, they all remain aspirants and potential candidates.
It will be recalled that the May 27, 2017, APC Chairmanship primary at the Teslim Balogun Stadium ended inconclusive as party faithfuls moved to avoid imposition of candidates.
