By All aspirants of the All Progressices Congress vying for the position of the Chairman in Ikorodu North LCDA have openly called out some party leaders in the community for illegally ‘blessing’ one aspirant above other contestants even before the primary.
According to a report by Impact Magazine, the leaders took it upon themselves to put other aspirants away and annoint a special aspirant who has been alleged to go by their bidding if eventually elected.
BlackBox Nigeria gathered that the leaders include; Alhaji Akibu Adewunmi, Otunba Olasunkanmi Tijani, Prince Kunle Ogunbela, Hon Adeola Jokomba, Hon Abiodun, lyiola, Mr Akeem Oduga, Hon Fatai Soderu and Mr Jimoh Odidi.
It was gathered that these named leaders went ahead to adopt an aspirant without due consultation with the Local Government Stakeholders. It was revealed that the act demostrated utter disregard to other aspirants who were previously screened by the Party.
However, BBN gathered that all the aspirants, including the adopted aspirants have written an open letter to turn down the act of the said leaders as they describe the decision as selfish and collective greed.
The aspirants disclosed that the illegal adoption was not only against the will of Ikorodu North constituents, but also the Party guidelines.
BBN further gathered that the aspirants have therefore warned that the adoption letter written by the said corrupt leaders and in possession of former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye should be disregarded.
