By Festus Keyamo dispels New Year celebration
The spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo, SAN, has dispelled the celebration of new year.
Globally, every January 1 is marked to usher in a new year.
But Keyamo, who is also the minister of state for labour and employment, claimed that the conceptualisation of the new year is just an artificial creation.
He made this known in a now-viral tweet on Saturday night.
“The conceptualisation of the ‘New Year’ is just an artificial creation. Some countries don’t even recognise the Jan-Dec calendar. God only created NIGHT & DAY & seasons.
“So, let us all CALM DOWN because nothing phenomenal is hidden in the stars because we are entering January 1st,” he wrote.
