Femi Adebayo’s Movie “Seven Doors” Scoops 11 AMVCA Nominations

In a groundbreaking achievement, Femi Adebayo’s latest film, “Seven Doors,” has secured an impressive 11 nominations at the 11th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).

The movie, which features a star-studded cast, including Chioma Akpotha and Kolawole Ajeyemi, has been recognized in various categories, including Best Indigenous Language West Africa, Best Lead Actress, Best Lead Actor, and Best Director.

The 2025 AMVCA ceremony is scheduled to take place on May 10, 2025, while voting will remain open until May 4, 2025, through the Africa Magic website. There are 27 award categories in total, with 18 decided by a jury and 9 determined by public voting.

In addition, two special honours will be presented, namely the Lifetime Achievement and Trailblazer Awards

Femi Adebayo, who directed and starred in the film, took to his Facebook page to express his gratitude to the cast, crew, and stakeholders who worked on the project.

“What an incredible milestone! #SevenDoors has knocked down 11 nominations at the 11th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA)!” he wrote.

Adebayo also urged fans to vote for the movie in the ‘Best Indigenous Language Film (West Africa)’ category, saying, “Let’s make history together! Seven Doors AMVCA11. AMVCA2025. Vote Seven Doors.”

It is worth noting that Femi Adebayo’s Movie ‘Jagun Jagun’ clinch the best indigenous film award at the same event last year.

However, this year, his movie is nominated in the same category. Fans and well-wishers are urged by him to vote in order to win the category again.

The AMVCA awards ceremony is set to take place later this year, and fans are eagerly anticipating the outcome. With its impressive 11 nominations, “Seven Doors” is certainly a strong contender for several awards.
