Nigerian singer, Simi, on Saturday, started a trending social media challenge tagged ‘Nobody Like Woman’.
The challenge is said to encourage numerous women to share the ugly and degrading words that had been hurled at them by people at one point or the other.
The mother-of-one started the challenge with a picture she posted on her Instagram page. The picture featured a woman with an inscription on her back which read “how can she ask for that kind of money? Is she not pregnant?”
Since then, girls and women including celebrities have taken to social media to recount the unsavoury ways they have been represented by the society.
Bukunmi Oluwasina shared a picture of herself with a writing on her body saying, “she no get front, she no get back, she con black join”.
Annie Idibia also joined the challenge with a picture captioned, “she has no male child,she has no talent, she’s only visible because of her man”.
Mercy Aigbe posted a picture with an inscription that read “na lie her hubby no beat am. She commot for the man house so she be free to do asewo”.
Tonto Dikeh shared a picture of herself wearing a white top with the inscription “this one?!!! She no fit stay for man house”.
Other celebrities such as Efe Irele, Kaffy, and Adesua Etomi to name a few, also joined the challenge.
