The Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) has issued a strong disclaimer, addressing the spread of false information regarding advertised vacancies and recruitment in the Commission.
In a press release dated January 23, 2025, by Taiwo Hassan on behalf of the Chairman, the Commission clarified that recent claims circulating on various media platforms, including those allegedly linked to the Commission’s official website and a recruitment director, are entirely fictitious.
The FCSC emphasized that no recruitment exercise is currently taking place and urged the public to disregard the misleading reports.
“The information containing the Commission’s website and the name of the Director (Recruitment and Appointment) did not emanate from the Commission,” the statement read.
The Commission also warned citizens to remain cautious of fraudulent recruitment syndicates and racketeers who may attempt to exploit job seekers.
It assured that whenever an official recruitment exercise is initiated, it will be widely publicized through national newspapers and the Commission’s website.
The commission further assured that all legitimate recruitment activities will be transparently communicated, urging the public to rely only on official sources for updates regarding civil service appointments.
