FCT COVID19 Task Force Team Seals Jabi Lake Mall Over ‘Drive In’ Naira Marley Concert
The Ministerial Task Force Team of the Federal Capital Territory on Sunday sealed up the Jabi Lake Mall indefinitely for violating the directives on the ban on public gathering.
BlackBox Nigeria gathered that the Mall had on Saturday hosted a Naira Marley concert which was earlier announced to be a ‘drive-in’ event. Footage from the event however revealed that it was a normal show, thereby violating the order of the Presidential Task Force which has banned all public gathering and events.
The event which was headlined by Nigerian controversial rapper, Naira Marley who flew into the nation’s capital in a chattered private jet, was coordinated by El’Carnival, Play Network Africa, Traffic Bar and Glenfiddich as the tickets for the show was sold by Nairabox and Ariiya tickets. The show was hosted by Kim Oprah, a former housemate of the Big Brother Naija.
It was learnt that the show was planned to be a ‘drive in’ concert where guests will be entertained while in their various vehicles but this was violated at the commencement of the show held on Saturday, June 13th, 2020.
