Governor Fayose surprised many including his Chief Press Secretary when he turned up for prayere on Sallah day

News reaching BlackBox Nigeria has it that controversial Governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose has sacked his Chief Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi.
According to reports, Fayose was infuriated because the CPS failed to provide adequate media coverage for his attendance of the Eid prayer in Ado-Ekiti on Friday. The Governor who is a Christian by faith had attended the Eid prayers fully garbed in Islamic robes.
In statement by Fayose’s Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, Adelusi was sacked for “dereliction of duty.”
“The governor was livid that there were no journalists in his entourage and that they were not on the ground to cover his entry into the prayer ground.
“The governor felt he had taken more than enough from the gentleman and ordered his sacking,” Olayinka is quoted to have said.

BBN further learnt that the Chief Press Secretary was actually taken unawares as regards the Eid appearance. He was reportedly not notified and it was not captured in the state house gazette of the Governor’s activities.
