Midfield maestro Fayemi John was involved in both goals as Ghetto light fc secured an impressive 2 – 0 away victory over Onemco FC at the Megbon Field on Sunday afternoon.
In an highly physical game which exhibited springs of combative displays in the middle of the park, Fayemi John held his ground. He drew first blood in the 9 minute of the game, guiding home a rebound from the opposition goal keeper.
The midfield trio of Oluwafemi Valbuena, Fayemi John and Folorunsho Lateef saw to it that the Onemco attacked didn’t breach their barricade as the home side could only manage a shot on target all through the first half.
A solitary strike was what the away side took into the second half with the home team hellbent on unlocking the impenetrable defense of the Ghetto ballers.
Just as the home side were beginning to dream as though they could get something out of the game, a point maybe, point man Oluwole Babatunde put the icing on a very tasty cake for the Ghetto ballers to take the game to 2-0 and with 7 minutes to play beyond the reach of the home side.
Two goals to zero was how it ended and the Ghetto Light FC under 17 side extended their unbeaten run to three matches post covid and begin another streak with a clean sheet also in the bag.
The team has now registered victory against Future Stars and Onemco FC and a score draw against Lyon Blessing since the relaxation of the Covid 19 stay at home.
